Deprecated
- The need for the Categories table in the Viewer web map has been deprecated. You can now configure categories and category groups in the Categories view and the Explore view in ArcGIS Pro.

General enhancements
- A scale bar can be configured to display on a printed map and the map view when sharing your Indoors web map as a configurable Indoors app.
- You can view the last known location of your colleagues and friends who are sharing their location from the Indoors mobile apps.
- The new kiosk reset parameters will ensure that your deployed kiosks return to their default state and are ready for the next user.
- Suggested search results are now sorted alphabetically.
- Viewer now supports viewing the interior details of the ground floor across all facilities in your site as an optional default starting condition when publishing a web map for use with Indoors. Map makers can determine the user experience the map will support through the placement of the Facilities layer in the map's table of contents.
- The events info panel automatically resizes event images to fit in the available space while maintaining their aspect ratio.
Configurable app
- Viewer now includes a comprehensive configuration wizard that allows you to define associated services and other configuration parameters when sharing Indoors maps using the Indoors configurable app.
- You can now decide whether users of Viewer on iOS devices will be presented with the option to open the map in the native app on their device or be directed straight to Viewer in their device's browser, through a configuration setting when sharing the Indoors configurable app.
App launch options
- The 311 functionality has been renamed app launch. The app launch capability has been enhanced to provide Viewer users additional configurable options for reporting and viewing information related to map features maintained in a separate system. Publishers can now configure unique actions, which will be available to users through the selected item's info card. These actions will be linked to the dependent system through a URL that can include additional parameters to drive search and automated form population capabilities in these apps.
- Configurable app launch URL parameters now allow you to quickly tune configured Indoors apps to use different systems with different reporting requirements from a single Indoors web map.
Deprecated
- The 311_URL and associated 311 button in the info panel have been deprecated and replaced by the new launch actions. These features will be removed from the app in the 10.8.1 release. Indoors databases with a configured 311_URL will need to transition to use the launch actions at that time.
